Our Trip to Texas!

Well here they are, our pictures from our post-Christmas trip to Texas! We had such a great time on this trip. I got to meet some of Matt's cousins and their kids which was really great! They are all such wonderful people (I hope the Hallbauer's are reading this...:)
A couple days after we got back Marshall got hit with this awful sickness! I never knew a little baby could puke up as much stuff as he did! Oh my word, I've done more laundry in the last four days than I ever knew was possible! It's been so sad. It was a little scary just because he's never been like that. Lethargic, not smiling and not eating very much at all. Anyways he's doing much better now. He also had a ear infection which he's taking meds for. Poor kid.
Things are definitely settled down here a little bit, I love Christmas though, such a fun and busy time of year. Back to reality now! Hope everyone is well!

I think Marshall enjoyed being on an airplane. I mean he looks pretty happy!
There were several open seats on this flight so I kicked Matt out, he's just on the other side of Marshall, and let Marshall have his own seat. I gave him his toy truck and some cheerios on that little tray and he was in heaven!

Marshall was playing with one of the kids light savers (is that what they're called and is that how you spell it?) anyways...he almost hit someone with it.
We went for a little walk this morning! By little I mean from the house to the swing...Matt's not a real big 'walking' person...

Like I said...to the swing.

And fishing was by far what we did the most! Of course we had to introduce Marshall to the sport. He had so much fun. He loves watching anything that moves. I pulled a worm out of the bucket and let it wiggle in front of Marshall's face...he was mesmerized! His grandpa Neely is so proud!

Christmas has come and gone!

Oh I absolutely love Christmas! I love buying gifts and it's so hard for me to wait for Christmas to actually give them to people! This being Marshall's first Christmas and all it proved to be a very memorable occasion! We had a very busy last week! Matt's dad and brother's and neice Lola all came to our apartment for Christmas eve! I cooked my very first ham and the boys ate it so it must have turned out okay!

Christmas morning we headed to Matt's mom's house to celebrate with her and again Matt's brothers and neice. I think Lola might have had present overload but it was sure fun giving her gifts. She's almost 3 so it makes present opening very exciting.

Then that afternoon we headed up to my parents house in Gresham and did the Neely family Christmas. It was a very relaxing time and also fun opening presents with Marshall and his cousin Deakan. The next morning we headed out to Texas to visit some of Matt's family. (I'll post that trip asap!)
Today we took the tree down and cleaned the house! It's nice to be home again but we had such a fun time with our families! Hope your new year was great!

This was Marshall's very first Christmas present from his grandpa Bruce. It was this cool dinosaur toy that spits out plastic balls, plays music, and has lights flashing everywhere! Great toy!

Matt's brother Dave got everyone in the family Porter University sweatshirts. Apparently you can get these online...anyways, Marshall got a matching onsie! He was actually more interested in finding the cheerios on his tray under the onsie while we were trying to take this picture!

His aunt Laura absolutely adores him!I love these pictures of Marshall with my dad! Something about your boy with your dad! Ahh...

Deakan is wearing the snowboarding jacket we got him! Not that he'll be hitting the slopes soon but I think my sister does want to get him up there next year!

Cousin Time...

This is one of those rare moments that I was able to capture a picture of Marshall being still and just watching something! I usually watch Deakan once a week or so while Heidi does her massage therapy job! The pose where Marshall is on top of Deaken is his favorite. Deakan is a good sport and doesn't seem to mind being roughed up by his cousin. Marshall has no mercy. Please don't laugh at the horrid green pants Marshall is wearing in the last few pics. I got them as a gift and it's great to not have to worry about socks.
I can't believe Christmas is only 5 days away! I just wrapped all my presents tonight and put them under the tree! Tomorrow morning a nice gate will need to now be wrapped around the tree to protect the presents from Marshall. He is into absolutely everything. Cords, phones, computers...why do they like electronics?
Anyways Merry Christmas if I don't post again before then!

O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree...

I'm so excited that Christmas is here! I just finished my shopping today! I can't wait to wrap all the presents but I know that Marshall will destroy them if I put them under the tree so I must wait! We did get our tree this past weekend and it was so fun. My aunt and uncle opened a tree farm this year so we went with my parents and cut down our very first tree! (Last year we got one from the lot in the Safeway parking lot...lame! Matt's learning a thing or two about traditions!) Anyways it was so fun and we love our tree. Marshall really likes it too! The first time he crawled over to it he grabbed it and yanked so hard the tree almost fell over! Now I put my footstool in front of the tree so he can't get to it!
My brother in law also got us this train that goes around the tree! Yesterday Marshall waited for it to go around a couple times before he pounced on it, but today it didn't even make it around all the way before he grabbed it off!
Life is busy right now but we're so excited for Christmas! I'm not sure if I've told everyone or not but we're going to Texas for a few days after Christmas to visit some of Matt's family! If you have any travel tips with kiddos for me, please let me know! Okay hope to hear from you all soon!

And We're Up!

Okay I'm about to run out the door so I can't really write a lot but I wanted to get these pictures up. This weekend has been a big one for Marshall as he started to pull himself up on his knees on things. Then tonight he pulled himself all the way up onto his feet. Too cute!! Anyways just a quick post tonight but I'll update it again soon!

The Holiday Catch up blog!

I can't believe that it's been 2 weeks since I've posted a blog! I am the worst. Well a lot has happened since my last post so I think this is the longest post ever! There are just so many pictures to put up! Anyways, our Thanksgiving weekend was absolutely fabulous and we were able to spend time with both of our families.

We went to Portland to visit my folks for a couple of days and my mom wanted her grandson's to have their pictures taken together! It was a very fun experience. Marshall was having a tough time smiling which is unusual for him but what do you do...Enjoy all the pics!

Are we seeing an aggressive pattern here???

Marshall's first "fort experience"!

We got this carseat as an early Christmas present from my parents. Marshall's old one was getting a little too small for him. He loves this one as he can see all around him now including out the back window of our suburban!

Marshall got to meet his great grandma Doretta for the first time this week!

I'm not sure if this is weird that he's playing with a toy dead chicken! Oh well it kept him entertained for a while!

In the car

These are just a few quick pics of when Marshall and I were waiting in the car one afternoon! By the way in the last one our vehicle is stopped! Just so there are no concerns! Anyways we're all doing well, busy but well! I'll post more pics and have more updates on my next post!
